Privacy Policy

Uplyfire (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the following mobile applications (collectively, the “Apps”):

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information. By using any of our Apps, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Support inquiries. If you contact us at uplyfire@gmail.com, we receive the information you include in your message (e.g., email address, device details, description of the issue). We use this solely to respond to your request.
In-app purchases. When you purchase a PRO upgrade, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment information (credit card number, billing address, etc.). We receive only a purchase confirmation token and the product identifier to unlock PRO features on your device.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Apps, the following information may be collected automatically through third-party services integrated into the Apps:

a) Analytics Data (Firebase Analytics by Google)

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how our Apps are used and to improve the user experience. Firebase Analytics collects:

Usage events: screen views (e.g., file picker, settings, export), feature interactions (e.g., number of files selected, export started, export completed with success/failure counts), and button taps (e.g., rate app, share files).
Device information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, and screen resolution.
Anonymous identifiers: Firebase assigns a randomly generated instance ID. This is not linked to your name, email, or any other personally identifiable information.

We do not log the content of your files, file names, or any personal data within analytics events.

b) Crash Reports (Firebase Crashlytics by Google)

We use Firebase Crashlytics to detect and fix stability issues. When the App crashes or encounters an error, Crashlytics automatically collects:

Stack trace (technical error details).
Device model, operating system version, and app version.
An anonymous Crashlytics installation ID.
Error codes and diagnostic messages generated by the App.

Crash reports do not include the content of your files or any personally identifiable information.

c) Advertising Data (Google AdMob)

The free version of our Apps displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

Device identifiers: Android Advertising ID (AAID) and, on Android 13+, the Topics API and Attribution Reporting API identifiers.
Ad interaction data: which ads are viewed, tapped, or dismissed.
Approximate location: inferred from your IP address (city-level; we do not request precise GPS location).
Device and network information: device model, OS version, carrier, connection type.

Google AdMob uses this data to serve relevant advertisements. For details, see Google’s Privacy Policy.

PRO users do not see advertisements, and AdMob data collection is disabled for PRO users.

d) In-App Review (Google Play In-App Review API)

We may prompt you to rate the App using Google’s In-App Review API. This API is managed entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store your review content or star rating.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

File content. Your photos, images, videos, and documents are processed entirely on your device. We do not upload, access, or store your files on any server.
Personal identifiers. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or physical address through the Apps (only through voluntary support emails).
Precise location. We do not request GPS, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth-based location permissions.
Contacts, calendar, or messages. We do not access any of these.
Camera or microphone. We do not access your camera or microphone.

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

Our Apps integrate the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:

These services may collect and process data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

4. Data Storage and Security

Local processing. All media file processing (conversion, compression) occurs entirely on your device. Files are never transmitted to our servers or any third-party server.
Local storage. Converted files are saved to your device’s Downloads folder. Temporary files are stored in the App’s cache directory and are automatically deleted when a new conversion session begins.
Purchase status. Your PRO unlock status is stored locally on your device in the App’s private storage area.
Third-party data. Analytics, crash reports, and advertising data are transmitted to Google’s servers using industry-standard TLS encryption. Google stores this data in accordance with its own data retention policies.

We do not operate our own servers or databases for these Apps.

5. Data Retention

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

For all users:

Opt out of personalized ads. You can reset or disable your Advertising ID in your device settings: Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.
Disable analytics. You can limit analytics data collection by disabling “Usage & diagnostics” in your device settings.
Delete local data. You can clear the App’s data and cache via your device settings: Settings > Apps > [App name] > Storage > Clear data.
Uninstall. Removing the App deletes all locally stored App data.

Right of access. Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification. Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
Right to erasure. Request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
Right to restrict processing. Request that we limit how we use your data.
Right to data portability. Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to object. Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Right to withdraw consent. Withdraw consent for advertising at any time via your device settings.

For users in California (CCPA/CPRA):

You have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, and disclosed.
You have the right to request deletion of your personal information.
You have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
You will not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our Apps are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at uplyfire@gmail.com, and we will promptly delete such information.

8. International Data Transfers

Analytics, crash reporting, and advertising data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where Google operates. Google participates in data transfer frameworks including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For more information, see Google’s data transfer practices.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App. The “Last updated” date at the top of this policy indicates when the latest changes were made. Your continued use of the Apps after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
